Bglobal plc (AIM: BGBL.L), the market-leading provider of smart metering solutions to the UK
energy market, is pleased to announce that it will be working on an ongoing basis with G4S
Utility Services (“G4S”), one of the UK’s largest national providers of metering and field
services and part of G4S plc (LON: GFS.L), in order to support Bglobal’s increased
installation and service requirements.
Bglobal has been working on a trial basis with G4S since October 2009, and given the
success of this trial period will be extending the relationship by increasing the volume and
type of field services performed by G4S in parts of the UK on the Company’s behalf.
Bglobal will be utilising G4S employees in various parts of the UK to install smart meters on
behalf of the Company during 2010. The agreement will also allow Bglobal to outsource a
number of field functions, such as regulatory manual meter checks which are required from
time to time, to G4S.
